who is ivy lo?

Ivy Lo is a R&B/Neo-Soul recording artist who hails from small city Monroe, Louisiana. She has always loved her mother's name, Ivy, therefore she decided to use it as her own artist name. Among her many influences are artists such as Sade, Jill Scott, Jhene Aiko, Musiq Soulchild, Erykah Badu, and Frank Ocean, because they convey significant lyrics and Neo-Soul undertones. During her freshman year in college (Year 2020), she was given the chance to start her own music career and has been enjoying the ride ever since. Ivy is not only passionate about recording but also has a flair for writing, and thus wanted to establish herself as a songwriter too. Majority of the lyrics found in her songs are contained in numerous journals at home, that she loves to collect. Ivy's continuous musical ambition is to tell her tale truthfully through her lyrics and to present her own distinct interpretation of R&B/Neo-Soul music in the hopes of attracting a following that will eventually understand and value her musical endeavors.
